High Speed Two (HS2) is the new high speed railway for Britain.
Before we build bridges, tunnels, tracks and stations, the largest archaeology programme ever undertaken in the UK is taking place along the line of route.
Our archaeology programme is continuing to unearth discoveries across our sites. To share information about these works and some of the exciting finds uncovered throughout construction we are launching a series of online archaeology events.
Designed for you to enjoy from the comfort of your own home our free, online meet the expert series will take you on a virtual tour of the route between Birmingham and London.
Uncovering the Curzon Street roundhouse
Hosted by HS2's Historic Environment team, this webinar will focus on the unearthing of what is thought to be the world’s oldest railway roundhouse, at our Birmingham Curzon Street construction site earlier this year.
Our team of archaeologists will reveal some of the stories that have been uncovered so far through previously unseen photographs, footage and imagery captured during archaeological excavations earlier this year.
You will be able to ask the team questions via a live Q&A chat option.
