A talk presented by Alex Thomson, Cotswold Archaeology.
An 'in person' talk only, in Wheatstone Hall, Museum of Gloucester.
From Spring 2023 to Summer 2025, Oxford Cotswold Archaeology (OCA) undertook archaeological mitigation works along the route of the A417 “Missing Link” improvement project, on behalf of Kier Transportation and National Highways. The archaeological excavations covered over 600,000m2, and features were identified from across 12,000 years of human occupation. With fieldwork now complete, OCA are able to share the exciting discoveries from across the project, which tell us how people have used this part of the Cotswolds since the Mesolithic.
