About this event

YOU MUST ATTEND ON 17TH AND 24TH AUGUST.

bring your own notepad/paper 💟

Join us for The Archive of Us — intimate, intergenerational poetry gatherings for Muslim women of all ages to reflect, write, and share on themes of identity, heritage, and lived experience.

This event is part of The Qahwa Collective series — a healing and creative space for young Muslim women across Manchester and the Northwest — and is facilitated by Muslim Northern Women, in collaboration with Artful Paths, a community wellbeing branch of Alchemy Arts.

Whether you’re new to poetry or have been writing for years, this space welcomes you. Through prompts, shared discussion, and reflective writing, we’ll explore what connects us across generations — the verses we inherit, the ones we write, and the ones we are still finding.

Expect warmth, vulnerability, creativity.

Note: if you are signing up you MUST be committed to attending both dates -17th august and 24th august.

Organized by

Through our newly formed, dynamic initiative launched in January 2025, The Qahwa Collective revives Islamic intellectual, political and cultural traditions of coffee houses, known as “schools of wisdom” in our cultures. We host and facilitate monthly healing, imaginative, creative and educational spaces for young Muslim women (16 - 30) to collectively build both personal and community power.
