Description

We are hosting an exhibition of art and film at the Arnolfini starting at 6pm. This event features collections from two internationally acclaimed artists:

Professor Florence Ayisi, film director and multiple award winner including Cannes film festival award, Peabody USA, Academy award nomination for game changing film ‘Sisters in-law”. We will be screening her 2012 film ‘Handing Down Time’ a film “...about continuity, change and a journey of awakening”.

We will also have an art exhibition featuring collections of art by young artists from the University and the wider community (expressions of interest still open). We will also feature art collections from the work by award winning screenwriter, film/television director and photographer Harry Hook.

As a film director, his documentaries for the BBC and ITV include ‘Photographing Africa’, ‘The Hidden Treasures of African Art’ and his feature films include ‘Lord of the Flies’ and ‘Last of His Tribe’. Some of Harry’s collection will be displayed at the art exhibition.
