Description

This course introduces a range of techniques for working with colour including painting, collage, and oil pastels. With inspiration from historical and contemporary art, both representational and abstract, you will learn to use colour to work from observation and your own self-expression. Suitable for all abilities. Some materials are provided and a list of suggested materials to purchase is given out at first session.

Rachel Cohen studied Art History (BA) at Sussex University and Fine Art (PG Dip) at Brighton. She has an MA in museum and gallery education from Institute of Education, London. She learned printmaking at a private college in Treviso, Italy and at Kensington and Chelsea Institute in London. Rachel works with wide range of techniques and materials. She creates objects, site-specific installations and participatory events. http://www.rachelcohen.co.uk

Dinah Kelly received her BA in fine art from Ruskin School of Drawing. A studio member of Phoenix Brighton, her work is influenced by Islamic art and architecture.
