Event description

Description

Media. Politics. Economics. Philosophy. Religion. Opinions, facts, and insights abound in coffee shops, on social media, and in the workplace. Everyone is talking, but often it can feel like no-one is really listening. For those of us in our 20s and 30s, it is becoming ever more difficult to have meaningful discussions, and the echo chamber of social media makes it harder than ever to hear and engage with opposing views.

Have we, the millennial generation, lost the art of having healthy conversations in today’s world? In what way can our faith inspire and educate us to engage in meaningful discussion with one another? How can we lovingly and graciously converse and disagree with those with whom we disagree? And in doing this, how can we stay faithful to the gospel?

Join us as we hear from experts in the world of politics, media and theology. Each speaker will share some wisdom and experience from their area of expertise, followed by a panel discussion with a chance to ask your questions. Light refreshments will also be provided.

Come along, alone or with friends, and enter the discussion around what it might look like to engage well with differing viewpoints in politics, media, and theology.
