Description

'The Art of Conversation' with Theodore Zeldin

Cumberland Conversations

As part of the popular series of Cumberland Conversations at Cumberland Lodge, the renowned historian and philosopher Theodore Zeldin, author of Conversation: How Talk Can Change Our Lives (1998), will be discussing the art of good conversation, drawing on conversations that our founder, Amy Buller, had with German citizens and Nazi leaders in the late 1930s.

This Cumberland Conversation is part of a series of conferences, lectures, seminars and special events to mark the 70th anniversary of Cumberland Lodge as an educational foundation.

The Conversation between Theodore Zeldin and Cumberland Lodge Principal, Ed Newell, will start at 11am and audience members will have a chance to ask questions at the end.

Entrance to the Conversation is free, but tickets must be booked in advance.

The event will be followed by an optional light buffet lunch, charged at £20 per person.

Please contact Emma Albery on 01784 497790 for tickets, or email Emma at: ealbery@cumberlandlodge.ac.uk.
