The Art of Drying, Pressing, and Mounting Flowers and Leaves
Event Information
Description
Learn the art of drying herbs and flowers as well as how to press flowers and leaves and mount them to make either a piece of artwork or a herbarium specimen using traditional methods.
We will forage in the gardens and grounds of Paxton House to collect botanicals to use in this workshop which will be held in the Education Classroom at Paxton House.
The dried flowers and leaves can be mounted on watercolour paper so do bring along watercolour paints, brushes, or coloured pencils if you wish to use them.
A kettle and herbal teas will be available during the workshop and the Paxton House tearoom will be open if you wish to buy a snack or coffee or lunch.
