Description

David Gaffney has been called the King Of Flash Fiction and in this workshop he will demonstrate how to write an effective short story with dialogue, characters and plot in only 150 words! Expect a fun and hands-on afternoon!

David is a prolific writer and the author of flash fiction collections Sawn Off Tales (2006) and More Sawn Off Tales (2017). His short story ‘Staring Man' is featured in the 2016 collection Best British Short Stories. He has also writes novels of a more conventional length including All The Places I’ve Ever Lived (2017) and a graphic novel The Three Rooms In Valerie’s Head (2018). The Guardian reviewer wrote of his work 'One hundred and fifty words by Gaffney are more worthwhile than novels by a good many others.'
