Event description
Do you want to kickstart your career as a freelance creative? Or maybe you have experience but you're ready to do bigger, better things?

About this Event

There's no shortage of creative opportunities on the internet. Most people don't know how to take advantage though. So, they lose out. They never achieve their full potential. But what if it was easier to navigate the online chaos?

In this three-part masterclass series, we'll tell you what you need to know to build a profitable, purposeful and long-lasting career as a freelance creative.

You'll learn to build a thriving and noteworthy independent business from three top freelancers who've done it all: media, books, podcasting, speaking, coaching, consulting, teaching and more. You'll be able to shape a business and lifestyle

We'll share well-tested roadmaps that spill all the secrets on how to:

Attract new income by diversifying your work (without selling your soul)
Bring your personality into your business (and make more money as a result)
Win lucrative work from major global companies (and know when to move on)
Use digital tools, platforms and strategies to create scaleable products (that sometimes even make money while you sleep!)

We'll share stories directly from the trenches of our freelance careers: from adventures in the music business and motorsport industry to the weird worlds of startups, tech, media and publishing. In our experience, freelance careers are anything but predictable. But that's what life's all about really, isn't it?

We love helping other people learn about what they can do with the freedom and flexibility of a successful independent business. Freelancing has empowered the three of us to do some pretty cool stuff:

publish with media brands like Wired and the BBC
have champagne brunches with Formula One drivers
live and work from Southeast Asia for part of every year
consult for governments and Fortune 500 companies
win representation from agents and publishers
be part of the founding team at global startup brands

Join us to discover how to create work that matters, harness the power of the internet to make it pay, and shape a thrilling and adventurous career that lasts a lifetime.

Agenda and tickets

The masterclasses will take place online via Zoom in three 90-minute sessions every two weeks in July. Attendees will also receive post-event recordings of the sessions they took part in, so if you can't make the dates below, you can watch the webinar when it suits you.

You can buy all three masterclasses as a bundle, or pick and choose the ones you need:

Part 1: Finding, refining & leveraging your niche (2 July, 5pm-6.30pm BST)

In the first masterclass, we'll guide you through the process of discovering what makes you unique and how you can use this niche to design a better business. There'll be simple tools to start using right away and hard-won insights to guide your thinking and strategy.

Part 2: Personal brand & marketing that works (16 July, 5pm-6.30pm BST)

In this masterclass, we'll demystify the idea of "personal brand" and provide you with tried-and-tested methods to market yourself in authentic and inventive ways. There'll be plenty of examples to bring the ideas to life and steer on where to put your energy for success.

Part 3: Win better clients & make more money (30 July, 5pm-6.30pm BST)

In the final masterclass, we'll prepare you to win bigger and better clients, get paid higher rates and take advantage of totally new sources of income. We'll also cover how to build stronger and more productive relationships with your clients and collaborators.
