Dive into the Art of Micro Cinema with puppeteer and film maker Gavin Glover and discover a world of surprising narratives and extraordinary theatre hidden right under your very nose.
When we point little cameras at tiny objects we begin to see extraordinary details and hidden movements that are totally lost to the naked eye.
In this hands-on laboratory style workshop, we will take our phones and put all sorts of objects: toys, fruit, photos and other intriguing things under the spotlight. We will examine their dramatic potential, juxtapose their scale and texture, their metaphor and meaning and create a new type of Cinema, a sort of hybrid Animation and Arthouse movie.
By the end of the day we should have a handful of mad little movies to present and you can go home equipped with a new set of possibilities to continue your discoveries.
Suitable for animators, film makers, theatre folk and anyone interested in new approaches to narrative.
