Slowing down is a challenge for many of us. Often, the more successful we are at what we do, the more we risk being unable to slow down. In a world that seems to be getting faster by the second, we need to learn the tools to adapt.

This workshop will teach you how to savour the simple things, introducing practical methods of increasing your ability to slow down and enjoy life, contributing to your overall happiness. A range of individual, paired and group exercises, will take us through some of the practical territory of introducing savouring into our everyday lives. These exercises will include how to engage in ‘positive reminiscence’ to extract greater positivity in our lives, how to develop gratitude through the process of reflective writing in the form of a ‘gratitude letter' and engage in some classic structured mindfulness practice to promote greater here and now attention. The afternoon will conclude with steps to make the most of 2018 and beyond.
