About this event

Health • Other

This weekend online retreat offers space to pause, reflect, and integrate the season’s themes: judgment, perception, attention, and value. Drawing inspiration from Taoism, and Zen, we’ll explore how to see clearly beneath illusion and return to what matters. Through guided meditation, contemplative reading, and reflective practice, the retreat invites stillness and insight. Combining live teaching with solo inquiry, it supports a spacious, grounded, and freeing encounter with your own experience — one that carries beyond the retreat itself.

Frequently asked questions

Who is this retreat for?

Open to all reflective seekers. No prior experience in philosophy or meditation is needed — just a genuine interest in slowing down, seeing more clearly, and living more intentionally.

Do I need to attend both days?

Yes. The retreat is designed as a complete experience, with Saturday’s teachings preparing you for Sunday’s integration and reflection.

Will I need to do anything between sessions?

Yes. After Saturday’s session, you’ll receive a self-guided handout with writing prompts, meditation, and reflection. This work shapes the Sunday session.

Is this a religious retreat?

No. While we draw inspiration from Taoism and Zen, the retreat is non-religious and focused on personal insight and philosophical reflection.

Will the sessions be recorded?

No. To protect group privacy and encourage presence, live sessions will not be recorded. We ask all participants to attend live.

What should I bring or prepare?

A quiet space, notebook, pen, and any items that support stillness (e.g., cushion or printed handout). Readings will be sent beforehand.

Can I join from outside the UK?

Yes, the retreat is fully online and open internationally. Just check the session times listed in UK time before booking.

What if I’m not used to meditation?

No problem. Meditations will be gently guided and suitable for beginners. All that’s needed is openness, stillness, and curiosity.

I’m not sure if this is right for me. Can I ask questions?

Absolutely. If you're unsure or have questions, feel free to get in touch via the Wandering Sage website or email hello@wanderingsage.net
