What to expect
This art-making space runs a little differently; you won’t be taught a skill, you’re artworks will not be part of a beauty contest. We’re all about expression, exploration, and experimentation through different art-making prompts and materials. We encourage you to find what feels right, without the pressure of it looking a certain way.
We invite you to explore the weekly theme through many different materials on offer: collage, watercolours, paints, soft pastels, oil pastels, and much more.
In each art ritual club, we offer a prompt which asks you to self-reflect in a supportive and empowering way. Maybe you’re invited to reflect on your strengths, or the things that make you uniquely you. Sometimes you might be asked to focus on the parts of your life that need a little more energy or support. Each prompt is offered to lift you up and get your weekend off to an empowering start.
You will find yourself in a group setting, chatting and connecting with other lovely people. The facilitator will introduce you to the Art Ritual club, check in on you throughout the session, and facilitate the group dialogue at the end of the session. This is where we come together and share our artwork explorations. This supportive space is created by everyone within the group, and it's a great opportunity to share and hold space for others.
Art Ritual Club is a proudly inclusive space and welcomes all members of the community, regardless of artistic skill. We believe that everyone is an innate artist.
