A guide to raising happy children
What do children want? What do they need?
Children are by their nature are boundless, free, energetic and joyful young people. Wanting the same thing all people want, to love and be loved. To understand the nature of their existence, to be guided to find out who they are and what they are here for. They look to the adults in their lives to provide guidance and direction. To support them in the things they want to achieve, to listen to them, to hear them and to make them feel safe.
Every parent or guardian of a child want the same thing, no one is handing out rule books and it often feels like we are fumbling from one day to the next making it up as we go along.
As a father and a person who struggles to understand the challenges faced by parents, making sense of the world and at the same time teaching children how to make sense of the world is sometimes daunting. Once we can appreciate there are some simple rules to living, we can feel happier and in turn create environments where are children can flourish.
The first thing was to understand is fulfilment and then share that knowledge with our children. In this talk I want to share that knowledge with you. Having great relationships with our children and in that knowing we are supporting their happiness and fulfilment is a truly rewarding experience.
Empowering our children starts with the parents
