If your New Year’s Resolution is to publish your book OR sell more copies of the book you have out there already, then we have exciting news!
The Author School is proud to launch a series of regular, evening workshops for authors to join us after work – including those who have yet to be published – to get to grips with the publishing industry, and learn the tips and tricks of building an author platform, growing your audience and selling books.
Starting on January 23rd, and taking place every month in The Calder Book Shop & Theatre, 51 The Cut, London SE1 8LF, from 6.30-8.30pm, at an early bird price of £25, you can join us for one evening, or all of the workshops, to get the support and strategies you need to become a more successful author in 2017.
The Author School Evening Workshops will focus on a wide range of topics including:

How to pitch to literary agents, what they do, how it works and do you need one?
Learn how to build and grow your author platform – online and offline. From social media to blogging, the importance of an author website to getting out there and networking at events.
Be inspired by successful PR strategies implemented by the team at Literally PR for hundreds of authors…learn what works (and what doesn’t) and take home tools that will help you promote your book and build your profile.
Branding, cover design, achieving your ‘look’ – the role of the author is bigger than ever before. You need to be in charge of building your own brand, particularly if you’re a non-fiction author, and we can help.

Bring your pen and notepad/laptop, and enjoy an informal, relaxed, informative evening of discussion – sit back and soak it all in or ask as many questions as you like! The classes will be led by the co-founders of The Author School, Helen Lewis (@LiterallyPR) and Abiola Bello (@EmilyKnightIAM).
