Istanbul Queer Art Collective will present DadaAda Mimosa, a multimedia performance, incorporating live art with video and sound recordings of their previous performance DadaAda.
Istanbul Queer Art Collective (IQAC) is a performance duo, founded by Tuna Erdem and Seda Ergul in 2012, currently based in London. They engage in live art, believing that the documentation of performance is an art form in itself. Their works take into consideration the Jack Halberstam definition of the “queer art of failure” and what Renate Lorenz calls “radical drag”.
Curated by Daria Khan, with support from Carleton University Art Gallery, Ottawa and Owens Art Gallery, Sackville.
With generous support from Arts Council England, Austrian Cultural Forum London, Fluxus Art Projects, Goethe-Institut London, Hallett Independent and High Commission of Canada in the UK.
