Event description

Description

Over the past two years, The Barton Partnership has held two hugely successful networking events, with guest speakers Sir Clive Woodward and Dame Kelly Holmes.

This year, we will be holding our third Networking Event and our speaker will be none other than Sir Ranulph Fiennes!

Since 1969, when he led the British Expedition on the White Nile, Sir Ranulph Fiennes has been at the forefront of many exploratory expeditions.

Described as the "World's Greatest Living Explorer" by the Guinness Book of Records, he is the only man alive ever to have travelled around the Earth’s circumpolar surface and his record-breaking expeditions include visiting both poles, climbing Mount Everest and the Eiger and crossing both the Antarctic and Arctic Oceans.

By drawing the analogy between nature's most dangerous and difficult challenges, and the very real day-to-day business challenges, Sir Ranulph Fiennes will look at the elements vital to the success of an expedition (teamwork, determination, patience and creative thinking etc.) and how these qualities are crucial in the business world.

As before, the talk will be followed by our unique sector-zoned networking session giving you the opportunity to engage with your peers in the sectors or industries that you operate in.
