The BASW Special Interest Group in Alcohol and other Drugs

Pressures to change: Working with families, alcohol and other drugs

A one day seminar exploring the theme of working with the challenges of effective interventions in what individuals perceive as external pressures to change.

Where: BVSC, The Centre for Voluntary Action, 138 Digbeth, Birmingham, B5 6DR.

The event will be of interest to those working in practice with children and families, but will provide all social work practitioners and managers with a greater understanding of context, interventions and skills for working with individuals and families where drug and alcohol use has compelled social work intervention.

Costs (including lunch) are:

BASW members: £30

Students: £20
