The Beautiful Broads - Management and Wildlife

Hickling Broad is a 600 hectare National Nature Reserve, and home to iconic species such as bitterns, common cranes, marsh harriers, bearded tits, Norfolk hawker dragonflies and swallowtail butterflies.
This study day offers you the chance to go on two boat trips on the Broads and discuss issues relating to the wildlife and management of the Nature Reserve.
9.30: Arrive and chat (coffee if available)
10.30: Norfolk Wildlife Trust boat trip around Hickling Broad looking at Wildlife and discussing NWT management of the reserve.
12.30: Lunch at NWT visitor center
1.30: Trip on Broads Authority Ranger launches to discuss recreation management of the Broads, ranger role and a look at the Hickling project - a total Broads management project.
15.30: Return and day round up
