Event description

Description

Organisers of the UK’s biggest African and Caribbean food competitions spent 6 weeks last November to December discovering some of the best cooks and bakers championing traditional African and Caribbean cuisine.

On the night the Afrikan Food Hall will be giving away thousands of pounds to finalists who took part in the third annual food competition. And on the night the final of The Best Caribbean Rum Cake Competition will be judged live.

‘I’m delighted that the community is getting behind our competitions. We need to celebrate and promote our traditional food culture so these skills are not lost to history,’ says Sundjata Keita, the director of the Afrikan Food Hall.

Producers of the food competition will be providing a lavish evening with live music and entertainment. They are also planning to provide a traditional 3-course meal for guests and contestants along with a vegan option.
