Event description
Join over 5,700 healthcare professionals at Europe's largest event for general practice and primary care professionals.

About this Event

The new five-year GP contract and Primary Care Network DES unveiled in January is designed to confront once and for all some of the crippling pressures on the profession and firmly place primary care as the building blocks of Integrated Care Systems. Workforce, finance, premises, partnerships, pensions, indemnity, access, IT and an outdated QOF are all tackled head on with bold solutions, backed by the £4.5 billion additional investment in primary and community services by 2023.

The first ambitious step is for the whole of England to be covered by Primary Care Networks (PCNs), clusters of practices covering populations of between 30,000 and 50,000, going live on July 1. PCNs will be able to tap into investment worth £1.8 billion by 2023/24. And it will all be covered at Best Practice 2019!

Best Practice offers free training to the whole practice. Whether you are GP looking for the most up to date clinical content, or a practice/business manager looking to find out the latest developments that can affect the running of a practice, Best Practice can help!

What do GPs think...

“I’ve been coming to Best Practice for the last five years because of the variety of talks, The national speakers are always very good as are the clinical updates, the politics and the lively debates – it all helps to keep me up to date with what is happening in NHS. I always take back a lot of tips to the practice team. I also enjoy browsing all the stands to see what equipment is new or if there is anything that will help my patients, we don’t normally get a chance to see these things.”

- Dr Shruthi Gowda , GP Wolverhampton

What do practice managers think...

I have found the exhibition very useful this year because my practice is about to undergo a significant premises expansion and we need a lot of new equipment. I have particularly enjoyed the DDA talks this year and networking with all the other members of the primary care team who visit this event.

- Wendy Shaw , Practice Manager, Burbage Surgery
