Description

The Big Chill in support of Grenfell and Harp

Come & chill with us to raise funds for the Grenfell Art Therapists to continue their work in schools & community centres over the summer, helping the children of the community process their feelings and experiences of the traumatic events at Grenfell; help us to support junior doctor Christobel Castro & her family, residents of Grenfell Tower in rebuilding their lives; and to support local homeless charity, Harp raise awareness & provide shelter.

We invite you to spend 3 hours of pure bliss on Sunday 30th July starting with a meditation and leading into a beautiful yin yoga session. The day will be ended with a delicious gong bath to really let those blissed out vibes send you off, literally floating home!

To get you extra relaxed, we will have experienced holistic therapists on hand offering mini treatments of reiki, reflexology and indian head massage, perfect if you want to try out a new treatment or if you have any tensions that need a bit of extra attention.

Health and wellbeing are at the forefront of this event and so to top it off, why not try some tasty home made healthy snacks.

Tickets are £22, which includes entry and your space for meditation, yin yoga and gong bath.

Holistic therapies and snacks are offered at an extra donation price.

100% of all money raised will be donated to:

GRENFELL ART THERAPISTS. Started by an art therapist of the Grenfell community to help the children and young people of the community to provide a private, non-judgemental space in which children can express and process thier feelings and experiences in relation to recent traumatic events at Grenfell. The use of art to contain the things so hard to make sense of has been fundamental to the young people in the community. The need for therapeutic support in the immediate aftermath is not only important but welcomed by parents, teachers and all in the community. TSF is funding MA qualified Art psychotherapists to work three days a week till the end of term, in the most badly affected schools in the Grenfell vicinity but are in need of funding for the summer months. The aim is to help groups of children (and staff) to deal with the loss of classmates and homes, school displacement and the trauma of the looming burnt out tower block.

AND

Christobel Castro and her family were residents of Grenfell who were fortunate to survive. A medical colleague of Christobel, a FY1 junior doctor at a nearby hospital, has set up a Just Giving page to raise funds to help Christobel and her family rebuild their lives.
