Event description
An hour long climate classroom with teachers at the forefront of climate education in the UK.

About this event

Who are #TeachersForClimateAction?

A broad coalition of teachers across the UK beneath the hashtag #TeachersForClimateAction that are currently providing and advocating for greater climate change education provision. The team of teachers presenting at the teach-in have a combined teaching experience of nearly 100 years.

What will the event cover?

During the session, our speakers, which include teachers, parents and campaigners, will provide 10 minute, short, sharp presentations around five key aspects of the climate crisis. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience some of the content we share with our students first hand and to hear about why teachers believe that climate education needs to be prioritised in 2021 and beyond.

In this 60 minute session, you will have an opportunity to hear from teachers working across a range of age groups and abilities, who are all united by their vision and passion for more engagement with climate change across the national curriculum.

This event is being organised in collaboration with Hope for the Future (HFTF). At HFTF we've been working for the past 5 years to equip communities, campaigners and groups across the country to communicate the urgency of climate change with their local politicians. More information:
