Big Data is often cited as being one of the most important developments for business- and society- since the internet. It is being constantly generated by everything around us, with millions of everyday online transactions producing it.
It is changing the way businesses work with each other and with their customers. But how can businesses extract meaningful value from the data they and their customers produce and possess?
During this short, informal peer-led discussion we will explore a range of issues, challenges and opportunities developers and companies face when exploring Big Data including:
• People’s experiences of using and extracting value from Big Data
• How is Big Data being used for commercial and innovative purposes?
• What barriers are/have businesses experienced when using Big Data?
• What can be done to help more companies explore, build and extract value from Big Data?
