The aim is to encourage debate on key social, political and cultural topics impacting our society today. The event is part of the 2017 series to provide members the opportunity to speak in public, develop confidence and articulate opinions.
Also, empowering our members to contribute to the debates. As an audience contributor build confidence, learn to express yourself and develop public speaking skills. To become an active and future leader one needs to confidently articulate their views. Your views are welcome so engage yourself on this important topic that impacts all BAME groups.

Key Topic: BAME Leadership & Career Progression: Are there challenges and lack of opportunities facing the South Asian Community? Can quotas and business networks help the diversity issue. What about the South Asian cultural values/attitudes, does this have an impact on career decisions especially for women.
FACT: Only 4% of CEOs in FTSE 100 are Black or Asian, despite the BAME (Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic) community in the UK making up 14% of the population.
