This event is part of the 'Get Creative Family Arts Festival' http://www.familyarts.co.uk/family-arts-festival/ and the National Big Draw event using Art to explore the structure, mechanics and industrial processes of Fiddler's Ferry through a variety of art forms and mediums.
You will stare in amazement at the massive industrial structures via a site tour on arrival. This will take place on a coach with running commentary. With the visual impact of the Power Station still fresh in your memory you will partake in art workshops that will experiment with different art forms as follows: Big drawings: using charcoal, pencils, pens and some long rolls of paper we might capture people’s impressions from the morning: looking for the shapes and movement of machinery b) we’ll step aside from that for a few minutes to experiment with materials: looking at movement, translucence and textures with shadows c) then we’ll work on a series of shadow-mechanisms using all the things people have encountered to create shadow puppet machines. Here we’ll use card, adding plastic shapes to give extra shapes, with wheels, handles and cogs d) using mediums such as charcoal and brusho to create mementos of the day to take home.
Plan of the day: 9:30-11 - tour of Power Station on coach (including an intro and tea break/toilets)

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
No but i appreciate that plans change so please get in touch as soon as possible if you realise that you/your child can no longer attend. There are limited numbers for all of the activity days and places are allocated on a first come basis, I do not hold places anymore and bookings can only be done via booking on via the Eventbrite system. This allows me to keep you informed about the dates you have booked. If you/your child can not attend the event that you have booked for them please let me know as soon as possible so that another child can take their place and there is always a waiting list.
Can I attend if I have a medical condition?
Please inform me of a medical condition that you think I would need to be aware of whilst on such an industrial site, medical conditions such as pacemaker, diabetes, heart conditions.
What happens if I do not turn up?
A place will be wasted as it will probably be too late to let the reserved/waiting list know. This is a real shame and over the summer camp it happened twice with 2 families who I will no longer be taking bookings from.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Ideally but if you forget please give your booking name on arrival. Incorrect booking names will not be admitted.
