Come celebrate the launch of Refugee Week at Nottingham Refugee Forum on Friday 13 June from 4pm. This year's theme is “Community as a Superpower”, and nothing says Community more than a party!

Join us for amazing food, music and workshops. You will taste dishes, and experience music from all around the world and extend warmth and hospitality to Refugees in Nottingham(shire)!

The event is free to members of the Refugee community.


  • Stalls from: Local organisations and charities including the National Justice Museum,
  • Performances include: A whole range of artists including poetry from local poet Manjit Sahota to our house favourites the Fatemi Band and the Ukranian Choir.
  • Workshops from: Crowd pleasers the Power of Drumming are back, or for a more serene contemplative moment join Bahia Yoga's team in the garden for a spot of stretching and meditation amidst the madness.

Can I bring my own food at the event?

Food and drinks will be provided at the event as part of the ticket.

Are children welcome at the event?

Yes, children are welcome at the event but their parents or carers remain responsible for them.

Can I bring my dog to the event?

Pets are not allowed in our venue, except for assistance dogs. Thank you for your understanding.

Where do I park?

There is free parking on the streets surrounding the centre, though please do be mindful of local residents and access to the ACNA Centre next door.
