Do I bring my own food to the 'Big MND BBQ' and what choices are available for the BBQ?

Accepted Answer

Your ticket price includes the choice of one option from the traditional BBQ menu: a burger, sausage or vegetarian burger, including bread and relishes. Please do not bring your own BBQ food to the Big MND BBQ. Please indicate your BBQ choice by completing the order form when purchasing your ticket.

Do I bring my own BBQ?

The ticket price includes the cost of BBQ food. Thank you for leaving your BBQs at home! BBQ food will be freshly prepared on-site. No private BBQs are permitted at the venue.

What vegetarian food options are available?

The ticket price includes a BBQ vegetarian burger option. When purchasing your ticket, please indicate whether a vegetarian option is required using the order form.

Do I bring my own drinks to the BBQ?

Accepted Answer

Drinks are available from the Rugby Club bar and are not included in the ticket price.  A limited quantity of still bottled water will be available free of charge.

What is included in the ticket price?

The ticket price includes one choice of BBQ food and performances from the North West Regional Rock Choirs. There will also be opportunities to try Pickleball, Rounders, and various fete-like games. Parents/Carers are responsible for their child/children at all times.

Where can I park, and is it free?

LIMITED PARKING  is free and available at the venue. Overflow parking is available nearby at a local school. Please park respectfully if parking on local roads or streets.

What about seating?

A limited number of chairs and tables are available at the event. However, for comfort and to ensure that seating is available when/if required, ticket holders may want to BRING THEIR OWN chairs and/or picnic blankets. Please remember that no private BBQs are permitted at the event.

What activities are available?

Traditional fete-style stalls and games for all ages, including Pickleball and Rounders. Please note that some stalls/games may require payment. Parents/carers are responsible for the safety and well-being of their child/children at all times.

How do I find out more about Motor Neurone Disease?

Representatives from the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA)will be available on the day to answer questions and/or provide information.  Alternatively, more information may be found on the MNDA's website: https://www.mndassociation.org/

What happens if I can't come to the event, but still want to support the MNDA/Big MND BBQ event?

The 'Big MND BBQ' has a dedicated JustGiving page, and funds raised on the JustGiving page will go directly to the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

When purchasing tickets for the Big MND BBQ, it is vital that you use the Order Form to inform us of any dietary requirements.

Attention: Allergen Advisory Information.

Accepted Answer

Please be aware that foods served may contain or come into contact with common allergens. While every step will be taken to handle foods safely, we cannot guarantee that foods are allergen-free and, therefore, cannot assume any liability for adverse reactions to foods consumed at the Big MND BBQ.

How do I get my BBQ food once I am at the event?

Accepted Answer

After showing your ticket on a mobile device or in print, each ticket holder will be given one BBQ ticket, which may then be handed to the BBQ stall and exchanged for BBQ food.

Question 15

Do I need to print my ticket?

Accepted Answer

Ticket holders may print their tickets in advance or show them on a mobile device on the event day. Ticket holders will be required to show their tickets to gain entry to the event.

What extra costs may be involved?

Accepted Answer

Extra-cost items include all alcohol/beverages and any snacks or food in addition to the BBQ option included in the ticket price. Raffle tickets and/or other purchasable activities/items/may also be additional costs.
