The Big Sing - an evening of community singing

Welcome to The Big Sing!

Join us at St Sampson’s Church, South Hill for an evening filled with singing, music, laughter, and good old nostalgia. Whether you're a seasoned singer or just love to belt out tunes in the shower, this event is for you! Come together with fellow music lovers to raise your voices in singing well-loved songs. Let's make this a night to remember!

Acclaimed organist David Davies will provide accompaniment and a solo recital of "Wedding Favourites" Mark your calendars and get ready to sing your heart out at The Big Sing!

Doors open at 7pm for a pre concert drink, performance starts at 7.30pm.

Enjoy an evening in ancient, atmospheric St Sampson's Church whilst filling your ears with wonderful music. Refreshments served after the concert.

Free entry, but donations welcome. The proceeds are in support of the St Sampsons Unlocked project, an ambitious undertaking to improve and restore South Hill church. The aim is to fix the roof and ceiling, create a warm meeting space and put in a permanent toilet and kitchen.

Tickets are available at no charge, but donations of cash, or by card payment, in lieu of tickets will be gratefully received on the night. Suggested £10- £20.

Why donations rather than a fixed ticket price? The organist David Davies and solo singer Rebecca Davies, and the organisers all give freely of their time. Many of you will be aware how much tickets cost for this sort of event. In the same spirit of giving, we know these events are generously supported by you, but making no charge allows us to also welcome those who might otherwise not be able to afford the full price of these wonderful community performances. So please come along and give what you can for what promises to be a truly fantastic evening. The rousing songs will fill St Sampson’s Church, South Hill with their glorious sound.
