What if I bring 10 items and find only 1 or nothing?

Very good questions and one that concerns most people. Stick with the mantra 'I don't wear it, I no longer love it, it doesn't fit or I have too much' - basically only ever let go of the things you genuinely won't miss . That way, if you don't find anything this it won't be a great loss.

What if I bring Prada and there's only Primark (hypothetically speaking)?

Honestly if it's clothing that is already in existence and resources have already been used to produce it then we believe ALL clothes should get re-worn. Extending the life of clothes by just 9 months can reduce your environmental impact by up to 30%....you can't put a price on that.

Join The Big Swap for Inclusive Exclusive — the UK’s first sustainable fashion event designed exclusively for plus-sized girlies.

A powerful, community-led event combines ethical fashion with self-love. Expect a vibrant plus-size clothes swap and an inclusive pre-loved runway show curated by event stylist directly from the swap floor, mini brand showcase, industry and community 'chatty' panel, and joyful spaces to connect, share, and celebrate.

Let’s reshape and reclaim fashion — for people, planet, and Every Body.

Join us Sun 05 Oct, 2025 at 11 am for an intimate 4+ hours of swapping clothes and getting aquainted with a handful of specially curated good brands doing their best to include curves in their sustainable journeys.

WHAT'S WHAT

11.00 - 3.30pm: Event running time

11.00 - 1.30pm: Swap drop Bustlers Nottingham

You bring and take away up to 10 items (1 token per accepted item): clothing shoes and accessories that are in great condition - sorry we can't accept nightwear, underwear or jewellery

2.30ish: Swap opens

All other cool stuff kicks off from 11.30 - full itinerary listed soon

Ticket: Welcome drink of fizz or fruit juice

The Venue & Area Bustlers St Food is a significant player and one of Nottingham's coolest indie spots Sneinton Market Avenues

Grab your welcome drink, but feel free to come and go as you please. Have a mooch and check out this cool part of town with a couple of bars including Neon Raptor a step away, The Bath Inn opposite in all its gorgeous decadence, but definitely allow time to grab some food with event hosts Bustlers

All items left over at the end of the event are donated to charity White Rose for resale in their stores supporting work to raise awareness, build peace and prevent genocide.

The Big Swap is all about making sustainable fashion options available to all sizes. We feel passionate about size inclusion giving all swappers the chance to shop responsibly and reduce their environmental impact.
