Are you young and passionate about your neighbourhood and want to have your say, we want you to join us at the Urban Youth Dialogue.
MP's, business leaders, youth organisations and journalist will be participating in a dialogue on all areas of London life, from policing to Jobs, health to enterprise and much more. This event will be filmed live.
Participants are arranged in three circles, one inner, mid-inner and outer. Three themes are chosen and participants sit in middle circle but are unable to speak or debate unless they are invited into the inner circle, once they have made their points, others can tap them on the shoulder and get them to leave so that other people can have their say. Occupants of the outer circle participate in the discussion via social media.
This ground-breaking discussion is illustrated by graffiti artists on a digital wall and hip-hop rappers also turn the topics into verses.
Guests include: Cllr Stephen Brain, Royal Borough of Greenwich, Council Chief Whip, Chief Inspector Darren Cox, Greenwich Borough of Police and Naomi Sheppard, Particaption Lead for Brook Nationally.
The big questions for the evening will include
- What should be done to reduce the number of young people having unprotected sex?
- What is the future for stop and search?
- Are apprenticeships the best route to a job?
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
