Description

It's time for the annual Bleeding Obvious Christmas Party!

We're making a return to the Red Shed in Wakefield! There'll be a set from The Bleeding Obvious of course, plenty of surprises, and maybe even a few new tracks... but as always, I'm extremely proud to bring a varied and accomplished lineup of artists to perform, folks I've come across, met and seen live over the past year:

Fran Bundey, Leeds based electronic vocal looping musician who likes to make a massive noise. Having caught her at an Oxjam night I was absolutely blown away by how she layers up drums, harmonies and sounds creating groovy beats and vibey, euphoric choruses. File alongside Imogen Heap, Grace Savage and London Grammar.

Chloe Jade, a regular on the Wakefield music scene and one of my current favourites. Her original material consists of heart-felt songs, sometimes with slight humour, that bring light to certain topics, often learnt from experience.

Simon Widdop, a Wakefield (Ossett if you want to get technical) born and bred punk poet. He'll make you laugh and make you cry, but always make sure you're okay afterwards!

Steven B. Williams, award-winning writer and fledgling illustrator from West Yorkshire. When he's not writing dark fantasy novels or exploring LGBT lives in poetry, he is generally found drinking tea and drawing.

Geneviève L Walsh, a Yorkshire-raised Londoner and writer of punk-song length poems about alienation, inebriation, pop music, and losers finding each other. Geneviève has been my tour compadre on the Rainbow Heart tour before romping off with Matt Abbott on his tour and it's lovely to have her back again.

BRING A TIN! There'll be a raffle as usual with splendid prizes, but with a twist - bring some tins or cupboard food for St Catherine's Foodbank and for every item you bring to donate, you get a raffle ticket. If you don't want to bring tins and things, you'll still be able to buy raffle tickets on the night which will be used for a shopping trip to stock the shelves before Christmas.

There will of course be TONS of joyous abandon! Bring good cheer. Santa hats optional!

Although this is a free gig, we do ask that you get a free ticket please as this is likely to be busy and space is limited. It is highly unlikely there will be tickets on-the-door.

Look forward to seeing you there!
