She has headlined at some of the UK’s top poetry nights and performed at several large festivals including the Edinburgh Fringe and Cheltenham Literature Festival. Cecilia is also an ambassador for CALM - a charity that aims to reduce the silent stigma around depression, memtal health and suicide. Cecilia will be joining us at the Blether as part of our Blether Mental Health series, and we cannot wait.

Cecilia will be talking about the power of writing and how it continues to save her. She'll talk about why she is interested in promoting creativity in many forms and how we can use writing to combat mental health and how we can spread awareness of the current mental health crisis in the UK. Cecilia will also discuss her role as an ambassador for the mental health charity CALM as well as chat about her career as a poet, playwright, her new novel and also why she loves teaching creative writing in schools, hospitals and more.
