Event description

Description

Join us for this exciting opportunity as team members of The BLOODHOUND Project give us a unique insight into the car's design and progress so far. With the car set for it's first public run on the 26th of October in Newquay, this is a chance to hear the very latest from the team at a key phase in the project, and with the opportunity for plenty of questions.

About The BLOODHOUND Project

The BLOODHOUND Project is a global Engineering Adventure, using a 1,000mph World Land Speed Record attempt to inspire the next generation to enjoy, explore and get involved in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The BLOODHOUND Project centres on BLOODHOUND SSC, a supersonic car that is designed not only to go faster than the speed of sound (supersonic) but to over 1,000mph (1,600km/h). It will cover a mile in just 3.6 seconds.

The Car will be powered by both a jet engine and a rocket, which together will produce more than 135,000 horsepower: that’s more than six times the power of all the Formula 1 cars on a starting grid put together.

Over 110 man years of effort have been invested in the design, build and manufacture of BLOODHOUND SSC.

With such an exciting topic and recent trial this promises to be a popular event. Attendance is free, but please book a spot to secure your place.
