Event description

Description

Join us for a fascinating insight into the case of the man who called himself 'Clark Rockerfeller' by forensic anthropologist, Professor Bob Mann.

'Clark Rockerfeller' lived a lifelong con game. He charmed his way into exclusive communities, clubs, and financial institutions until his arrest brought him face-to-face with his past and with questions regarding skeletal remains dug up in a California backyard.

Professor Bob Mann is Professor of Anthropology and Pathology at the University of Hawaii.

He worked for many years at the largest forensic skeletal laboratory in the world, the Central Identification Laboratory in Hawaii, which is the scientific section of the Joint Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Accounting Command. Its aim is to search for, recover and identify American members of the military killed in battle or missing in action and Bob has travelled to places such as Vietnam, South Korea, Laos, Cambodia, Latvia and Russia to recover the remains of individuals.

He has also worked to identify the victims of the 9/11 terror attack on the Pentagon, of the Poughkeepsie murders in New York, and of the Korean airlines crash in Guam in 1997.

He has written over seven books and has over 60 scientific publications to his name.
