About this event

Film & Media • TV

From the award-winning, sell-out live event series, Sex Talks: London's hottest new book club, The Pleasure Shelf: for people who treat books like lovers.

Every month join host, writer and journalist Emma-Louise Boynton, as she sits down with fellow writers and authors to deep dive into genre-defining reads covering feminism, intimacy, romance and pleasure... all the juicy stuff.

For our launch event, Emma-Louise is joined by the biggest bookworm she knows, her sister, actress Lucy Boynton (Bohemian Rhapsody, Sing Street, The Politician). Beyond her starring roles, Lucy recently brought the 2025 International Booker Prize to life, performing extracts from the shortlisted books.

Together, they’ll explore the books written by women that shaped Lucy’s thinking on feminism, pleasure, and the power of story.

What’s included:

  • Intimate conversation with Lucy Boynton in one of London’s most beautiful venues
  • Coffee + refreshments served all morning
  • Curated book selection chosen by Lucy, available to buy
  • Goodie bags
  • Exclusive giveaways
