13 and 14 January 2017
Infallible Productions Ltd is proud to welcome back to Draper Hall
Badac Theatre Company
in their new play
'Out of the range of normal British drama. The visceral power of the work is extremely rare’ Steven Berkoff
A man struggles to survive as he descends into the hallucinations, paranoia and psychosis caused by the prolonged isolation of his enforced segregation. A parallel story explores his abusive background, allowing the audience an insight into the torment of his previous life. The Box is a stunning evocation of the physical, psychological and emotional consequences of punitive solitary confinement, leading to an intensely violent and destructive conclusion.
‘The degree of civilization in a society can be judged by entering its prisons’ Fyodor Dostoevsky
After the runaway success of their previous play, THE FLOOD, we are proud to be producing once again the London debut of this uncompromising company's new play.
Londonist Rating: For THE FLOOD ★★★★★
Only a couple of miles away and yet so far from the moat of the Tower of London and its recent, rather genteel commemorations of the First World War centenary, a grimy, intimate and affecting piece of immersive theatre (taking place in a tenants' hall on the Draper Estate) is tearing open the emotional cost of the Great War with a bang.
The Flood is a harrowing two-hander setting out to make flesh the insanity of war and how it makes victims not only of the combatants but also of the women left behind. Only the men who order those wars remain unscathed. This is socially engaged theatre at its most visceral and powerful.
Infallible London are planning great things in Southwark, both entertaining and theatrical, as well as benefiting the local community.
I recommend having a look at what they are doing.
Sir Patrick Stewart
