This seminar/lecture has previously been given to counsellors, police, colleges and safeguarding boards, however this is open to the public as we are trying to raise funds for a counselling service for children who are trauma and abuse victims.
Our CEO has offered to run this event to educate you, inspire you and raise funds all at the same time.
The seminar will cover aspects of the developing brain from womb to Adulthood (age about 25). It will cover what children need for secure and resilient growth in both brain and relationships.
The seminar will explain with fun and engaging examples what trauma and abuse are, in terms of what happens to the mind, brain and body of children of all ages and what you can do to help, how to do it and how to look for appropriate further help. This is cutting edge research and knoweldge explained with easy to understand terminology, which means anyone can learn this.
Become trauma informed, it really will help your practice, parenting and relationships of all kinds. All at a really low cost to you and your company
Plus you will also see how cutting edge technolgy is being used by PEERS to help victims of trauma and abuse.
