Join us Wednesday 7th May to celebrate the launch of The BREAK—DOWN’s new twice-yearly journal, featuring new original writing on capitalism, nature and the climate.
The BREAK—DOWN is a new media project focused on the political economy of climate and ecological crisis. We bring together personal stories, cultural critique and analysis to explore the systems driving ecological collapse and strategies for confronting them.
In the wake of Donald Trump’s return to the White House, our first issue, Right Turn, explores climate politics in an age of rising authoritarianism, asking what happens when the future of the planet is shaped by a hardening new right.
To mark the launch, we’re thrilled to host a live discussion featuring Adrienne Buller, Editor of The BREAK—DOWN in conversation with two of the most incisive voices in political economy: Quinn Slobodian and Geoff Mann. Together, they’ll explore the themes of Right Turn – from the afterlives of neoliberalism to the changing terrain of climate struggle.
Your ticket includes:
- Entry to the live discussion
- Entry to our post-show party
- A free print copy of Issue 1: Right Turn
We will have limited free drinks on a first come, first served basis; otherwise, BYOB!
