The official launch event for the "Human Milk, Tailor-Made For Tiny Humans" advertising campaign. An independent advertising initiative co-created by parents to share the science of human milk and breastfeeding with other parents, and our wider community.
We will screen the advert and present the wider project, and we're very excited to be joined by guest speakers
- Dr Amy Brown, Professor and Researcher in the Psychology dept of Swansea University and Author of 'Breastfeeding Uncovered' (http://breastfeedinguncovered.co.uk/).
- Emma Picket IBCLC, Chair of the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers and author of 'You've Got It In You' (http://amzn.to/2bpKsCA).
- Dr Natalie Shenker, Co-Founder of the Herts Milk Bank (http://www.hertsmilkbank.com/) and Researcher at Imperial College London
who have all been instrumental in supporting the advert project to come to lifes.
Tickets are £10 per adult (plus the booking fee) and free for children. Children older than babies in arms need to be registered by using the "Free child registration" option, thanks!
[UPDATE: I'M SORRY TO SAY WE HAVE RUN OUT OF SPACE FOR CHILDREN. Every ticket attributed to a child guarantees them a place within the conference annexe playroom, and this space is now at capacity. I'm very sorry if this causes difficulties. If you cannot make it without bringing your child, feel free to send us a message via the contact button below and we will place your name on a waiting list in case of cancellations.
Also please note that you can buy tickets to @Bristol museum directly on the day, but this will not give you access to the conference.
We still have a limited number of adult tickets available]
There will be some refreshments in the room, and there's also a café/restaurant downstairs, and lots of restaurants on the doorstep.
Please feel free to donate any extra amount if you would like to, using the "Donate" option. Any profit made will be used to fund promotional activities and materials for the advert, there's so much we can do. Thank you!
We will also make a donation to the Herts Milk Bank http://www.hertsmilkbank.com/, being set up by our collaborator and speaker Natalie Shenker, together with Gillian Weaver, co-founder of the UK Association of Milk Banking (UKAMB).
See you there!!
