Event description

Description

Beer & Brew and Brighton Food Tours are teaming up to give you an unforgettable afternoon of deliciousness.

We will dive into the best food and beer Brighton has to offer, hopping from place to place to give you a unique and very special taste of our amazing city. The emphasis will be on independent venues with passion and pride in what they offer and will include some of our personal favourite spots.

Along the way we will learn a little about Brighton, hear from those creating what we’ll eat and drink, and why beer and food pairing is important... But, most importantly, we’ll be eating and drinking lots of lovely stuff!

Ticket price includes all drink and food samples and your very own effervescent Brighton Food Tours/Beer & Brew guides.

Date/Time: Selected Saturdays throughout the year (click on the "select a date" button for availability): 2pm – 5pm.

FAQs

How much is The Brighton Food & Beer Tour?

£50 per person (sorry – no discounts for students, seniors or Brighton residents)

How long is the tour?

Roughly 3 hours but it may run over if our punters are having too much fun!

What is included in the tour cost?

All drink samples and food tasters. Plus the undivided attention of your own BFT/B&B tour guides.

How many people are on the tour?

We’re not into big impersonal groups – plus it would be tricky for our lovely vendors to accommodate them – so we prefer an intimate gathering of no more than 12 punters

How many stops are on the tour and and how much food & drink will there be?

We visit approx. 6 different hotspots with drink samples and food tasters at most places. The amount of booze has been designed to not get you plastered but may make you a bit tipsy by the end. Likewise the food samples are not meal-replacement size, however many of our punters tell us they feel nicely full afterwards.

Do you cater for particular dietary requirements or food allergies/intolerances?

Please let us know of any particular requirements when booking. Our vendors will let us know if there are nuts in their products but we can’t guarantee that foods will not have come into contact with allergens so please do exercise your judgement accordingly.

Do you offer a range of different tours?

Yes! We regularly run our signature, tried-and-tested V.I.B (Very Independent Brighton) Tour that has proved to be extremely popular with both residents and visitors to Brighton.

We also run a variety of 'Special Tours' throughout the year and have lots of other plans in the pipeline. Keep an eye on our website for up-to-date info on all tours we're currently running.

If you’re looking for a bespoke, private and/or tailored tour, please get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.

What do you do in case of bad weather?

Our tours go ahead come rain or shine so be sure to come prepared for all weather eventualities. Umbrellas are pretty redundant in Brighton (it can get rather gusty!) so if it’s wet we recommend waterproof coats with hoods etc.
On very rare occasions we may decide to cancel due to extreme weather conditions.

How far do you walk on the tour?

It’s a total of approx 2-3 miles – broken up into about 6 stops – at a leisurely pace.

Is there anywhere to sit?

A few of our stops have seating, but you’re not guaranteed a seat. You can expect to be standing or walking for the whole tour.

Are the tours appropriate for kids?

Definitely not this tour - all of the stops are alcoholic and the tour has been designed for aduts only.

Do we need to bring anything?

Just bring yourself, in a pair of comfortable shoes. You may also like to bring a bottle of water with you, a bag for any purchases along the way and your smartphone for any en-route photo action and social media sharing. (P.S Don’t forget to tag us – @BTNFoodTours and @beerandbrew)

Are the tours accessible for wheelchair users?

Let us know your requirements when making your booking enquiry and we’ll do our best to ensure the tour is suitable.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Absolutely. Food tour gift vouchers are a great gift for your foodie friends & family. Just choose which tour you’d like to give, then drop us an email with the number of people you’d like to pay for and we can send the voucher in PDF to you by email to self-print. If you let us know the special person’s name and the celebration too, we can even personalise the voucher for you. Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from purchase and are non-refundable.

Any advice on parking?
Parking in Brighton can be expensive and some of the central car parks charge far more than they should, so here are our recommendations on where to park:

Trafalgar Street Car Park (North Laine, close to station) – approx £10 for 6 hours
The Lanes Car Park (very central, seafront) – approx £20 for 9 hours
Regency Square Car Park (towards Hove, close to i360) – approx £12 for 9 hours
Churchill Square Car Park (very central, shopping centre) – approx £15 for 6 hours
Also, if you have a Smartphone, check out JustPark which has an excellent app for finding the cheapest places to park. Please note that our tour can sometimes go over 3 hours so please do allow plenty of extra time when planning your car parking.
