The British Omani Society Annual Lunch 2025

2025 marks a particularly significant year in the enduring UK-Oman friendship, as it celebrates the 225th anniversary of the 'Unshook Agreement' (1800). This historic treaty between our two countries documented the mutual commitment to a steadfast and unshaken relationship that continues to this day. The event this year will be a key opportunity to highlight the ongoing importance of this special bond between the UK and Oman.

Our confirmed Guests of Honour will be: H.E. Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Foreign Ministry of Oman and Hamish Falconer MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan), Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
