About this event

Join the Brixton Immortals Domino Club (BIDC) as they proudly present the annual Black History Month Celebration at Clapham Library.

From the day you can experience Black business stalls, market and cultural exhibition as well as Domino displays and workshops.

Immerse yourself in The Black History Month Show, featuring a diverse lineup of intergenerational performers showcasing live drumming, spoken word, singers, and cultural dance... and more. Prepare to be captivated by the talent within our community as local individuals of all ages and backgrounds, ordinary people like you and me, generously volunteer their time to entertain and inspire during this special Black History Month Celebration. The evening will end with live DJs playing reggae, soca, afrobeat and R&B.

Come and celebrate with us as we honour and rejoice in the rich heritage and accomplishments of the Black community. It promises to be an extraordinary occasion filled with joy, unity, and cultural appreciation. The event is free for all to attend and hosted by The Brixton Immortals Domino Club (BIDC) – a cultural cornerstone of Brixton since the 1970s.
