How can I find The Shelter?

The Community Shelter is located inside the entrance to Buckholt Woods off Manson Lane on the north side of Monmouth . The postcode is NP25 5RD. We recommend that you use the WhatThreeWords app and navigate to ///forensic.depend.bonds

What if the weather is bad?

Activities can take place under shelter. However, if the weather is too bad on the day we may shorten or cancel the day. Parents & guardians  will be kept informed.

Is there parking available?

Accepted Answer

Parking is a few minutes walk from the shelter. Please follow signs. It's down a forestry track, so don't bring a Ferrari! You can drop passengers off on arrival. We can arrange lifts to and from parking if needed.

Is the event fully accessible?

Accepted Answer

No. Some activities will be accessible to those with restricted mobility, and help will be at hand, but  many activities will take place across rough ground and woodland.

Question 6

Can my child bring a phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Participants can bring their personal phones if you would prefer that. However we strongly urge that they are used only in necessity, and we can't take responsibility for loss or damage to personal property. They can alternatively be handed in for safe-keeping if required.

Who will be in charge of my child?

Accepted Answer

The day will be run by Bearfoot & Beyond, the outdoors and bushcraft experts,  who have run many young people's activities days for us, are familiar with the woods and any hazards and are qualified in First Aid. They may also use suitably experienced and checked helpers.

Can I attend with my child?

If there are reasons why you want to attend with your child, please get in touch so we can discuss.

Are there toilets?

Yes, there is a compost loo on site.

I want my child to attend, but I can't afford a ticket.
