The next monthly meeting of The Business Network (Banbridge) will be held in the Conference Room of the Banbridge Enterprise Centre, Scarva Road, Banbridge on Thursday the 24th November 2016 registration is open at 7.30am and the meeting starts at 7.45am.
Guest speaker – Louise McCreesh, Rocket Van
Having worked for ten years in radio and television production, Louise McCreesh chose a very different career path along with her fiancé Davy Smith. The couple who are to be married at the end of September decided to start their own gourmet food business, selling nutritious salads and delicious sandwiches to the world at large.
Rocketvan was launched in July 2016 at The SOMA Festival in Castlewellan and received excellent feedback on its food and concept - Davy and Louise are all about fresh, healthy, quality food.
Louise will speak about the steps that she and Davy took to research, plan and fund their new business and how they hope to grow a local customer base for both their lunchtime delivery service and their outside catering service which provides tasty platters of sandwiches to neighbouring businesses in the area.
Member speaker – Maike Dring, Essential Wellbeing
Maike Dring, M.I.F.P.A., A.B.T.I. of Essential Wellbeing specialises in Pain Relief, Stress Management, Relaxation Therapies and Trauma Release.
With over 20 years’ experience in the Health Care sector, her clients broadly divide into three sectors: private clients, workplace and schools/community organisations. She provides treatments, talks and training events for professionals and the public.
Her therapeutic workload mainly focuses on muscular-skeletal issues, i.e. reducing pain and discomfort, improving body movement, however restoring a positive emotional state is often a welcome side effect!
Private Clients attend with back pain, sciatica, neck & shoulder restrictions, knee & ankle pain, sports injuries for example. Typically just 3 sessions restore function and resolve pain for clients.
For the Workplace Essential Wellbeing offers treatments, talks and workshops, enabling companies to substantially reduce the cost of absenteeism due back pain, chronic pain and other stress-related issues.
In Special Needs Schools she uses a combination of therapies to improve pupils’ behaviour as well as physical and emotional health.
There will also be an Emmett Technique demonstration today, provided there is a willing volunteer!
