This conference offers you an opportunity to hear about ‘The business of sport', listen to the experts in the industry, catch up with old colleagues, meet some new ones, join in on our panel debate, and enjoy a networking lunch.

Kate Bosomworth - Kate has worked in Sports PR & marketing for 15 years working with some of the world’s largest sports brands, rights holders and events. An energetic leader and entrepreneur, she founded her own sports PR agency in 2003 which she then successfully sold to Speed Communications in 2012, an agency she then took over. Kate went on to build Speed and sold this in 2014 to the AIM listed Mission Marketing Group. She recently stepped back from the running of the agency to take on a consultancy role advising key clients. Kate has been on the Board of Sport England since 2013 and has been instrumental in the development and ongoing success of Sport England’s hugely successful This Girl Can campaign.
Rhona Shepherd - Rhona set up Red Sky with her brother Rowan in 2003 and has gone on to guide the careers of some of the biggest names in sport. Rhona currently works with some of the biggest names in business and has helped steer Red Sky's growth since the company started in 2003. Her ability to see the bigger picture and her straightforward approach to creating sustained improvement in performance makes her one of the most sought after business coaches in the UK.
Catriona Morrison - Catriona is one of Scotland's best ever endurance athletes. A world class triathlete and in addition to winning four World Duathlon championships she won two full Ironman events and many other international triathlons around the world. In 2015 Catriona was awarded an MBE for services to Sport and Voluntary service in Scotland. In 2016 Catriona and her business partner Linda Barclay set up everactiv which is a range of stylish, technical and functional sportswear for girls.
James Erwood - James founded Extra Time Management in 2013 and has over 18 years global experience working in the Sports, Entertainment and Media industries. James had a vision to set up a management company with the ambition to work harder and smarter on behalf of the talent whilst never willing to compromise his integrity and pride in doing so.
Claire Nelson - Claire is the CEO of Netball Scotland and has a background in business across multiple global markets. In post for just 18 months she has managed to position the organisation as a leading Governing Body in Scottish sport and with her team successfully tendered for one of ten places in the UK-wide Sky televised Netball Superleague 2017. A passionate advocate for equality and winner of a ‘Woman of Inspiration 2017’ award, Claire is on a mission to change the landscape of women’s sport, recently launching the #ChangingTheGame campaign to challenge the many disparities that currently face women and girls in Scotland.
Bernie Shaw Binns - Bernie has been in the branding and communications industry for over 20 years working for large agencies and global clients. He has worked in the UK, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Europe. For the past six years, after founding Brand Oath, he has built a strong independent brand agency focusing on the international sports and major events sectors. The value of good branding and communications is never more important or tangible than in the high-profile race to secure a prestigious sporting event. Managing multiple stakeholders, across very different cultures with sensitivity, discretion and diplomacy and is now regarded as a leader in the field.
