Handmade Books with Morag Tweedie 📚✨
Come and spend a creative day learning the beautiful art of handmade bookbinding with artist Morag Tweedie. In this relaxed and welcoming workshop, you’ll explore a variety of techniques – from the simple pamphlet and elegant Japanese stab binding to the versatile concertina book, which can be finished with a fabric cover or kept in paper if you prefer.
All tools, papers, and materials will be provided, so you can simply enjoy the process of folding, stitching, and binding your very own books.
If you joined us for the Slow Stitch Book Cover Workshop on 26th October, you’re welcome to bring your stitched cover along – it can become the perfect finishing touch for one of your handmade books.
Whether you’re completely new to bookmaking or already love working with paper and fabric, this workshop is all about learning, experimenting, and going home with something both practical and beautiful.
