Peg Loom Weaving – A Cosy Creative Afternoon in The Cabrach

* Please note that these workshops are part of The Cabrach Winter Festival and have received funding to enable us to run them. The workshops are popular and some will be disappointed to miss out so please do not book on if you are not sure you WILL attend. If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your ticket at least 7 days before to give someone else a chance **

Join us for a relaxed and welcoming afternoon at The Cabrach Trust, where getting hands-on with some traditional peg loom weaving, guided by the brilliant Caitlin from Lettoch Farm.

Using fleece from local sheep, you’ll learn how to weave your very own seat pad or wall hanging – something truly special to take home at the end of the day. Whether you’re completely new to weaving or just fancy a peaceful afternoon of making, Caitlin will gently guide you through each step.

We’re especially proud to share that Caitlin first discovered her love of loom weaving through one of our Rural Skills and Wellbeing workshops – and now she’s producing beautiful handmade pieces and passing on those skills to others.

Everything you need is provided – just bring yourself, your curiosity and maybe a friend or two!
