About the Workshop
Discover the fascinating process of plaster casting with textiles in this hands-on creative workshop. Guided by artists Mary Bourne and Lynne Strachan from Cabrach Reconnections, you’ll use clay, plaster, and delicate textile scraps such as lace to design and cast your very own wall plaque.
This workshop is a brilliant way to experiment with texture, pattern, and form—transforming everyday fabric into beautiful, permanent reliefs. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to explore and play with materials.
Best of all, your unique cast will be ready to take home the same day as a lasting memory of your time in The Cabrach.
